Victoria Keddie works with various media that involve electronic sound, video signals, choreography, and broadcast. For this event, Keddie premiered her new large-scale work Cannibal Mécanique, an extraordinary performance one year-in-the making, involving seven dancers, analogue electronic sounds, audio and video feedback … all in an active magnetic field.
The night was guest programmed by Richard Garet, who, in addition to being an artist, is a producer of events heavily inclined in the experimentation of both moving image and sound. Garet founded and directs the media label Contour Editions based in New York City.
The event was followed by a Q&A with the artists, drinks and a special live music performance by DJ and musician Scott Kiernan.
