For this Hyphen Hub event, extraordinary multimedia artist, cellist, and composer Paul Rucker showcased a multidisciplinary overview of his work based on historical data, politics, and imagery.
Rucker performed live cello using his extended techniques and looping alongside animation and video. His provocative and challenging work is the product of a rich interactive process through which he investigates community impact, historical research, and human rights issues.
The night was guest curated by Mike Stubbs, CEO/Director of FACT (Foundation for Art and Creative Technology) in Liverpool, the UK’s leading media arts center. The night was followed by a Q&A and drinks with the artists as well as special live bands.
