Katarzyna Krakowiak is a leading Polish artist who interferes with architecture, questions its sense and logic, and changes its meaning through sound and electronic sculptures and mechanic systems “parasitizing” on buildings. For this Hyphen Hub salon, Krakowiak revealed the inside story behind The Great and Secret Show, an ambitious project which premiered on 8 November 2013 at one of New York’s train stations (Pennsylvania Station) for the Performa Biennial. The artist also presented other works including her piece awarded at the last Venice Architecture Biennale.
